On Saturday John and I had the opportunity to see a musical at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts and it was called "next to normal". But before we went, we took a walk up University Ave then over to the Eaton Centre. John used to work on University Ave. so it's been awhile since we have been in that part of the city, so it was nice to go back and see the changes.

This church is right in behind the Eaton Centre. It is surrounded by high rise buildings. There used to be a parking lot behind the church but not any more. The surrounding buildings had to be built in such a way that the sun could still shine on the church and into the stained glass windows.

This photo shows the Eaton Centre steps away.

The next two photos show the gardens in the center of University Ave. Very refreshing to see this in a city such as Toronto.

Entrance way to Canada Life Insurance

This last photo is the theater that we attended. Excellent show.

Thanks for checking out my blog.

  2. Always nice to see the prettier parts of Toronto. I have always loved this church. Amazing to have this little part of "old world" mixed in with big city. Have loved seeing all the photos on your blog :) Looks like you're having a wonderful summer!

  3. What a beautiful part of the city! Thanks for sharing :)
