A bit of Spring

Spring is here and time for some flowers. I recently received garden flowers for my birthday to go with the flower cards that I have been making. No one new I was making these cards and the flowers came from people who didn't know each other. How weird is that.

This card is my favorite one.

I also received the most gorgeous pair of gardening gloves I have ever seen. To beautiful to get dirty along with gardeners hand lotion. Again this person didn't know about the plants that I received.

I will have to find a place to plant these beautiful plants and watch them grow and flourish in the sun.

Thanks for looking.

Another Card

I hadn't made any cards for awhile and now I am on a roll. I have a lot of Close to my Heart products in my craft room and for this card I put some of it to good use. This card is made with Close to my Heart paper, inks and stamps.

New Cards

When Two Scrapbook Friends got the Authentique collection in the store I new I was hooked on this line.Having the opportunity to work at the store and getting to unpack a lot of the inventory that comes in, I purchased the 6x6 bundle and the first two cards are my first creations using this line.

The flower is cut from a spellbinders die and the buttons are from Close To My Heart.

The card below is done with Prima pencils and again Spellbinders dies along with the arrow border punch. Love that punch.

Thanks for looking.

Mini Get Away

You know all those discount get away deals that find their way to your computer? Well one found it's way to our computer and we decided to give it a try. We took a one nighter at The Oakes at Niagara Falls this past Friday and Saturday. It was a fantastic deal. One night lodging an excellent dinner and a full breakfast. All that had to be paid was $138.00 plus tips. Excellent deal.
The view below is from our 7th floor window when we arrived Friday afternoon after visiting Niagara On The Lake my favourite place to visit.

I have never seen the Falls from this height before, other than in photos. This one is the Canadian side.

This one is the American side.

We had an excellent dinner and this is the dessert. Raspberry sherbet inside chocolate ice cream drizzled with chocolate and of course the strawberry. I am not a chocolate lover but this was delicious.

We also had a singing waitress. She would wander around the tables and sing. She was a very good . Sorry the picture is a bit dark because the lights are turned down in the resturant. The resturant is called Remingtons if you should happen to go to the Falls sometime.

Sleepless Night

What does one do when sleep doesn't come? They go shopping on the net. That happened to me last night so I went surfing the net for something to do and I found this embossing folder and had to hunt it down. Didn't take me to long and there it was. This one is called Christmas Vine. I think it could be used for other backgrounds as well.
This one below is called Stately. They are from Craft Concepts.

This one below is from Cuttlebug and it's called Gracies. Can't wait for them to arrive in the mail. These might be what gets the mojo flowing again.

Thanks for peaking. Don't forget to leave a comment.

Valentines Treats

Thanks to Pinterest I found this very easy Valentines treat to make with my Grandaughter. She always like to be doing something (anything) at all times. So after we spent two hr. at McDonalds, she playing in the play area, we paid a visit to Bulk Barn and bought the ingredients for this treat.

We used the square pretzels and Hershey Hugs (as they soften easier). Place the Hug on top of the pretzel

Pop in the oven at 200 degrees for 4 min. Watch very closley, just until they get shiney. Remove and put a M&M on top. When done cool in fridge for awhile. If you can wait that long.

We then packaged some up for Mom and Dad for when they came home from their night out.

Very delicious. They have that sweet and salty taste.

Here she is checking to make sure they taste okay.

Another Quilt

I think I have found another hobby. Making rag quilts. The only problem is what do I do with them after they are done. It's not exactly a cheap hobby to have as fabric is rather expensive. This one is about 50"x70". A nice size lap quilt. This one is up for sale, so if you are interested just leave a comment and I will get back to you.

Thanks for peeking.
